Taiwan POW Visits Museum
Nov 19, 2014
George Reynolds, Royal Artillery and FEPOW, visited Changi Museum on Friday 14th November. It was our pleasure to take him around the museum and share our collection. But George stole the show and inspired all those who were with him with tales from his wartime service. This included amusing anecdotes on how to chew a tomato without being seen by the guards and more disturbing accounts of the conditions he faced on the Hellships and down the copper mines of Formosa (Taiwan). George was also happy for us to record his past experiences and we will be adding this to our oral history collection in the near future.
